Aluminium Long Palm Lugs are forged from electrical grade solid aluminium rod. The lengthened palm allows for a ‘two bolt’ connection. It is recommended that belville washers are used when bolting aluminium lugs. Aluminium long palm lugs are supplied complete with joint compound in the barrel and are sealed with a plastic cap. Standard hex dies can be used for crimping and normal aluminium cable preparation requirements apply. Holes in the palm can be drilled to suit the customer’s requirements.
